For Karen’s birthday, we explored Whidbey Island for 3 days, visiting some of the local sites. Pies at Greenbank Farm and art shops in Coupeville and Langley attracted us, plus a sunset beach walk at Double Bluff Park and a visit to the Captain Whidbey Inn. We stayed at a bed & breakfast style log cabin in Greenbank, enjoying the 25 wooded acres, pond, and hot tub. And the Langley Mystery Weekend was a fun local tradition in its 22nd year; a fictitious murder happened and participants (such as us) got to walk around the town searching for clues, talking with in-character actors that walked the streets, and trying to piece together the puzzle.
