Sammamish River Trail

The Sammamish River Trail is a relaxing scenic bicycle ride through a protected watershed of Bothell, Woodinville, and Redmond. The trail is about 22 miles roundtrip, and it connects directly with the Burke-Gilman Trail to downtown Seattle on the west side and with the East Lake Sammamish Trail to Sammamish and beyond on the east side; so the bike trip can easily extend way over 100 miles of designated walking/bike trails if desired.

We were surprised at the amount of greenery and countryside so close to the urban centers. River scenes, parks, forest, farms, and vineyards were sprinkled along the length of the trail. Plenty of room for bicyclists, walkers, runners, roller bladers, and more, plus lots of good adjacent access points and car parking options.
