Snowshoeing along Hurricane Ridge trail in Olympic National Park, Olympic Peninsula, Olympic Mountains

On the trail leading from the upper Olympic National Park visitor center to the top of Hurricane Ridge. It's a good trail for both skiing and snowshoeing, though it gets a little steep in a few spots for regular cross-country skiing.

On our way back, we went off-trail through the woods and then rounded back up to the trail through what would be a picnic area in the summer. We walked right over top of some picnic tables surrounded by snowdrifts, but this exposed table gave a good rest spot to take in the full circle views.
