Spray Park and Spray Falls are destinations
along a great day hike in Mount Rainier National Park. Starting by Mowich Lake
and taking the Wonderland Trail from there, Spray Park Trail splits off across
up and down topography. Views from Eagle Cliff looking out across the mountain
side of Rainier is a prime snacking spot, and then on to the big falls. Spray
Falls spreads like shimmering lace across a bold rock surface, and it's one of
my favorite waterfalls so far. Spray Park is renowned for its displays of wildflowers
in July, and its wide flat expanse provides viewing angles for many different
distances and directions all around.
